In modern world we are surrounded by computers. For some - these are highly technological toys, for others - tool for the work, the contact, expanding the horizon.
You preserve favorite wall-papers, photographs of cats and butterflies, interesting stories, archives of electronic mail, course and diploma work, photograph and other useful information on it. Hard Disk would seem reliable but in one "excellent day" you discover that everything is gone. You can accept the loss of wallpaper and photos and flowers and pets but then family photographs must be restored whatever the cost (in two years hundreds of photographs none of them were printed).
Data loss could occur not only because of the physical malfunction of your HDD or your error; this can be someone’s bad "joke", the failure of operating system, or unsuccessful recovery. You have left with formatted hard drive. Recently, there were very valuable information, and now it's all gone… In reality this is not so, often you will be able to independently restore most of the information, and also there are companies, whose basic specialization is recovery of information from the hard drives.
Important Steps for Hard Drive Data Recovery
- The very first, that you should remember - NOTHING CAN BE WRITTEN to the reformatted hard drive, otherwise you risk to lose the un-restored files. Also there is one nuance - operating system such as Windows XP, Vista, or Seven (7) creates catalogs and files on "empty" hard drive, even if you are unaware of such behavior.
- This point follows from the first - once we know that nothing can be written to first HDD we need to get new and bigger hard drive than original one to restore all the files.

Most of the programs I’ve tried produced no result, in spite of flattering reviews. Few programs that had successfully helped me recover files for me and my clients present on this site. They all come from a very reputable companies with years of experience.
Even after taking all the precautions and best practice advices it would be impossible to restore absolutely all files, some part of the information is lost forever.
What happened If you were unsuccessfull at data restore?
You carefully read article, went through all the steps correctly, but could not restore information. Don’t give up yet! There are special companies with professional equipment and experience specialize in data recovery. Even they cannot guarantee you 100% of recovery; however price of these services may vary depending on how bad hard disk is damaged and amount of data to restore.
Be very selective of the company you’d be dealing with.
From the obvious - try to look the lost files on other disks, on the network resources, USB keys, in the email and the printouts. Do not forget to make archives. This advice didn’t lose its urgency for the decades, USB keys and the external disks are available on the market for reasonable prices. Online backup services offer good pricing and allow you to stay independent from the unreliable hard drive.
